To mark National Afternoon Tea Week, The New Inn’s Community Engagement Team hosted an afternoon tea for the village. The event included some light-hearted presentations on such sensitive issues as the pronunciation of the word ‘scone’ and whether to put on jam or cream onto scones first. Tea and scones (with clotted cream and jam) were served.

Rosemarie Perry, a W.I. trained taster, undertook the diplomatic task of judging and declared Pippa Brook the winner.
